BixCure™ Solar Encapsulants

BixCure™ is an optically transparent, UV & weather stable, fast curing, EVA solar encapsulant. BixCure™ was developed to optimize adhesion to a broad spectrum of substrates used in the manufacture of photovoltaic modules – both rigid and thin-film constructions. Its balance of properties has allowed current users of BixCure™ to experience greater power retention after completion of accelerated UV and weathering exposure. Other users have benefited from better and faster de-airing in their lamination process due to BixCure™’s aggressive surface finish. BixCure™ is supplied without the need for interleaf, which for other encapsulant products must be discarded and added to the production waste-stream. However, BixCure™ can be extruded onto customer specified substrates such as glass scrim or other films to simplify our customers’ process and reduce steps. BixCure™ is manufactured by Bixby International Corporation, a leader in the development and manufacture of single and multi-layered polymer film and sheet constructions.
